Few things are more important to Out of This World Leaders than Vision. That’s the focus of the NIV Leadership Bible’s 45th Week. In my last blog post covering Maxwell’s 17 Laws of Teamwork, Law #7 is “Law of the Compass,” which says that vision gives team members direction and confidence.
Leaders have to see things others don’t. Their vision must transcend the “what’s now?” and enter into the “what’s next?” Seeing “what’s next” sets leaders apart.
In his book Visionary Leadership, Burt Nanus writes, “Vision is central to leadership. It is the indispensable tool without which leadership is doomed to failure.”
