Grateful to Be Influenced by an Anchor Man

Nearly ten years ago, I was excited to read Steve Farrar’s Anchor Man.  Mr. Farrar was a neighbor to my brother and his family and had a significant influence on his life.  Farrar’s subtitle for the book is a life pattern I’ve inherited from my grandfather and father and one that I strive to continue:  how a father can anchor his family in Christ for the next 100 years.

I described Paw Paw’s legacy as he celebrated his 95th birthday—the day that he passed away—on July 29, 2015.  Now, as we turn the calendar to the fifth month of the year, it’s time to practice the Fifth Commandment and honor my Dad.
