Happy Parents’ Day 2014 to Paw Paw, Pappy, & Pop!

Parents Day

Today—the 4th Sunday in July—is National Parents’ Day, which aims to recognize positive parental role models. There are three men in my life, who have greatly impacted my values, my character, and ultimately my leadership.

I’d like to share a little about each of them:

  • Paw Paw: My Dad’s father & my grandfather
  • Pappy: My Dad, who is known as Pappy to my kids
  • Pop: My Father-in-Law, who is known as Pop to my kids

And 40% of children in father-absent homes see their fathers less than once a month…

For those of us who have the privilege of fatherhood, we can learn from the mistakes of fathers in the Bible. Let’s explore those.
