Are You a Self-Reliant Leader?

Jeremiah 17-7 Pin

Weeks 29 & 30 of the NIV Leadership Bible focus on the importance of dependence on God to leadership.

All people who lead others find more than enough things to worry about. What are your worries today? Are they deadlines, financial pressures, conflict with family or friends, or anything else?

As leaders who want to impact our generation, we need to lead in a way that allows others to see our faith in God. One way we can do that is by depending on God in the face of daily pressures. Remember that those you lead will see how you respond to life’s pressures and will likely follow your actions!

Having Fun @ Work? Try These 4 Tips

Fish!

Yesterday was “International Fun at Work Day”.  How did you celebrate?  I’m fortunate to work for a fun boss, who likes to play office pranks on her team members.  She pulled several yesterday…but this was the first year in at least the last five years that I recognized her prank without falling for it!

When I think of fun workplaces, the world famous Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle comes to mind, thanks largely to the business best-seller written by Stephen C. Lundin, Harry Paul, and John Christensen in 2000.  Their book Fish! shows other organizations “a remarkable way to boost morale and improve results.”
