Make Your Dream Come True Day

We've got to have a dream if we are going to make a dream come true. - Denis Waitley

Did you know that January 13th is “Make Your Dreams Come True Day”?  No matter how big or small, there are some dreams that inspire us and allow us to make our lives better. It is these dreams that “Make your Dreams Come True Day” celebrates. Dreams that motivate us to do better, encourage us to take on more challenges, and energize us to succeed in our lives – professionally and personally.

As we consider dreams today, we should consider this question, “How do I find and fulfill the central purpose of my life?”  Ralph Waldo Emerson argued that we all want “to leave the world a bit better.”

Søren Kierkegaard wrote in his Journal, “The thing is to understand myself, to see what God really wants me to do; the thing is to find a truth which is true for me, to find the idea for which I can live and die.”

Do you have a reason for being, a focused sense of purpose in your life? Or is your life the product of shifting resolutions and the myriad pulls of forces outside yourself?

Os Guinness’ book The Call: Finding and Fulfilling the Central Purpose of Your Life helps us address these critical life questions.

Rest in Peace, Mano

Easter 2015; Thanksgiving 2016; and Easter 2018

Margarete Larue Pyle went home to Jesus on December 28, 2018.  She was born in Beeville, Texas on September 8, 1925, graduated from Beeville High School, then fell in love with a WWII veteran, Allen Pyle, and married him on June 1, 1946.  He was my middle namesake, and you can see my tribute to my Paw Paw here.

Mano—as I knew her—had two sons:  Robert (with wife Judy), my parents, and Ronnie (with wife Linda).  Her love for Jesus Christ was evident to everyone she met.  Her positive attitude and love for others drew people to want to know the source of her joy and strength—Jesus Christ!

Mano’s sweet spirit endeared her to everyone who met her and left her family and friends with precious memories of a life filled to overflowing with Jesus’ love.
